Flamenco, Flamenco 2010
Plot Synopsis
Set in Seville's Expo Pavilion Soundstage, Carlos Saura presents 21 performances from Spain's top musicians and dancers, including Sara Baras, Niña Pastori, Estrella Morente Paco de Lucía, and many more. They dance and sing amongst giant reproductions of Flamenco artists from different centuries by such painters as Julio Romero de Torres, Zuloaga, and Goya. Oscar-winning cinematographer Vittorio Storaro bathes the performers and sets in superb lighting.
This mixture of music, light, and cinema is one of the unique talents of Director Saura. In this sequel to his earlier film Flamenco, the filmmaker once again explores the established and current talents in the creative continuity of the art of Flamenco.
